I have only been taking these for a week, but have had the best night's sleeps. I've gone from lying awake till 5am and waking up over 5 times, to falling asleep about 1am and waking up about 8am feeling great, with energy.

The science behind Calme
Think of your nervous system as a car with an accelerator and a brake. Stress hormones press the accelerator. Magnesium is part of the brake: it helps the calming signals do their work. Stress, coffee, wine, sweat and the hormone shifts of midlife all use magnesium up, and many diets fall short. Calme tops the brake back up with 300mg of elemental magnesium a day. Glycinate leads, because glycine is a calming amino acid and this form is easy on the gut. In a 2025 trial, 250mg of magnesium bisglycinate before bed for 4 weeks improved sleep scores more than a placebo did.
How Calme works
Take 3 capsules a day with water. Most people take 1 with dinner and 2 about an hour before bed. New to magnesium, or have a sensitive stomach? Start with 1 capsule for 3 nights, then 2 for 3 nights, then 3. Take it at the same time every evening so it becomes a habit. If you take antibiotics or bone medicine, keep Calme at least 2 hours apart from them.
What to expect
Calme is not a sleeping pill, so there is no knock out and no heavy morning. Some buyers of magnesium say they feel calmer within the first few nights. Most say it takes 1 to 2 weeks. The studies ran for 4 to 8 weeks, so 8 weeks is the fair test. Some people dream more at first. That is common and usually settles. It does not work for everyone, which is why you get 90 days to try it.
Who it is for
For women, mostly 35 to 65, who feel wound up by bedtime, who want a calmer evening, or who tried a low dose magnesium and felt nothing. It also suits anyone with a physical job or a busy training week. Skip it, or ask your doctor first, if you have a kidney condition, take prescription medicine, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Not for children.
How long until I get it?
Orders ship within 1 to 2 business days, tracked. Shipping is free on 2 or more; a single bottle has a small shipping fee shown before you pay. Delivery usually takes 7 to 12 days.

I have only been taking these for a week, but have had the best night's sleeps. I've gone from lying awake till 5am and waking up over 5 times, to falling asleep about 1am and waking up about 8am feeling great, with energy. It's not helped the pain in my legs yet, but hoping in time it will.
I fall straight to sleep with one of these and get quality sleep too. Also if I wake up in the night I get back to sleep easy :-) x
I had a problem waking through the night and not being able to get back to sleep. That rarely happens anymore but when it does I usually realise I've forgotten to take a tablet. I've been taking these for a few months now and love them.
I am impressed with this! I haven't slept good since menopause in the past ten years. I have actually been sleeping much better and wondered why. I realized it had to be the magnesium pills!
It took about two weeks but my sleep is much better. I'm usually out like a light and sleep for four hour solid blocks. I dream more, too.
I feel like a new woman after taking these tablets. I've gone from not having enough energy to exercise to walking 10,000 steps 5 times a week. I'm also sleeping better. This has happened after one week of taking the tablets.
I've been using this for a few months now. I always seem to go into deep sleep and I always dream when I take this. When I wake up the following morning, I always feel well-rested. I've tried a lot of things through the years, this is the best one that has worked for me.
I've been taking this for almost 2 years, to help with my sleep. Has been very consistent. With perimenopause a few nights a month my sleep is worse, so I added Ashwagandha. Still the magnesium is one of the best I've tried.
2 capsules after dinner gives me a nice deep sleep cycle and fresh early morning wake up without any grumpy or tired feeling.. Really relaxes muscles as it says. Excellent product.
From the first time you take one, you will notice from the following morning how awake you feel. I certainly notice it if I miss one. I have a very physical job so the muscle relaxation these provide is spot on.
Top marks for this product. Feel great after taking it. No longer feel tired at the end of day. Sleep is fantastic.
Magnesium. Bisglycinate was recommended to me. I have only been taking it a few days and I'm already sleeping better. Great delivery service as well.
Literally when I started to take this every night.. my sleep is now very well, before that I used to struggle for a good sleep…!!! Really helpful…!!!
Thousands are raving about magnesium complex
The 3am wake up
Asleep by 11. Wide awake at 3. Then nothing.
It is one of the most common things women in their 40s and 50s say. Falling asleep is fine. Staying asleep is the problem. You wake at 2 or 3am, your mind starts on tomorrow's list, and by 5 you give up.
Then the day runs on coffee. By 4pm you are flat, and by bedtime you are tired and wired at the same time. Many have tried melatonin, a spray or a cheap supermarket magnesium. Nothing changed, so they decided magnesium does not work for them.
Often it was never a fair test. The wrong form, too little real magnesium, or not long enough.

Why it happens
Why 3am feels so hard to come back from
The 3am Alarm
Your nervous system has an accelerator and a brake. Stress hormones press the accelerator. Magnesium is part of the brake. Stress, coffee, wine, sweat and the hormone changes of midlife wear the brake down, and most diets do not top it back up. With a thin brake, the engine idles high all day. Then at 3am a small bump comes, like a hot flush or the natural early rise in cortisol, and there is not enough brake left to slow back down.
The Brake Refill
Calme refills the brake every evening with 300mg of elemental magnesium. Glycinate leads, since glycine is itself a calming amino acid. Taurate, malate, citrate and three more forms make up the rest, so the dose is big enough to matter and easy enough on the stomach to keep taking. With the brake topped up, there is more of it there when the 3am bump comes.

Top up the brake
3 capsules each evening give you 300mg of the magnesium your nervous system relies on.
Keep it steady
Taken every night, your levels build over the first 1 to 2 weeks. Gentle forms mean you can stick with it.
Ease back down
With more brake in reserve, calmer evenings become normal and the 3am bump is easier to ride out.
Before Calme vs a few weeks in
What buyers of magnesium complex describe, in their words.
What's inside
300mg of real magnesium. Glycinate first. No oxide.
Most labels print the weight of the whole compound, not the magnesium inside it. One UK buyer worked out her "375mg" capsule held about 85mg of actual magnesium. We print the elemental number: 3 capsules give you 300mg of magnesium itself, about 80% of the daily reference intake.
That 300mg comes from seven forms permitted in the EU and UK: bisglycinate, taurate, malate, citrate, lactate, glycerophosphate and gluconate. Bisglycinate is the hero. The other forms spread the dose so no single salt overloads your gut. There is no oxide, the cheap form most likely to send you to the loo.

The research
Studies are on the ingredient, not on Norixi Calme.
Magnesium glycinate improved sleep scores more than a placebo in 4 weeks
155 healthy adults aged 18 to 65 who slept poorly took 250mg of magnesium as bisglycinate 30 to 60 minutes before bed, or a placebo, for 4 weeks. Sleep problem scores fell 28% vs 18% on placebo, a small but real difference, and people who ate less magnesium tended to improve more. Calme gives 300mg a day, glycinate led, from several forms.
Schuster et al. 2025, Nature and Science of Sleep ↗Older adults fell asleep faster on magnesium than on a placebo
46 adults aged 60 to 75 with poor sleep took 500mg of magnesium or a placebo for 8 weeks. Time to fall asleep dropped and sleep efficiency rose, cortisol went down and melatonin went up, but total sleep time did not change. This trial used a higher dose and magnesium oxide, a form Calme does not use.
Abbasi et al. 2012, Journal of Research in Medical Sciences ↗Stress scores fell by over 40% in 8 weeks in stressed adults
264 stressed adults with low blood magnesium, about 3 in 4 of them women, took 300mg of magnesium as lactate, with or without vitamin B6, for 8 weeks. Stress scores fell 42% on magnesium alone. There was no placebo group, so this shows change over time, not proof that magnesium caused it.
Pouteau et al. 2018, PLoS ONE ↗A review of 18 studies suggests magnesium may help people prone to stress
Researchers looked at 18 studies on magnesium and feelings of stress and worry. About half of the studies in people prone to worry found a benefit. The authors called the evidence suggestive, and said study quality was generally poor.

Your first 90 days
Start low if your stomach is sensitive and build up to 3 capsules. Some buyers of magnesium notice calmer evenings within days.
This is where most buyers say they feel a difference: fewer long stretches lying awake and more energy in the day.
The fair test. The studies ran 4 to 8 weeks. Judge it here, not on night three.
If it is working, it is just part of your evening now. If it is not, ask for your money back. You have 90 days.

Try Calme risk freeFrequently asked questions
I tried magnesium before and it did nothing. Why would this be different?
Most failed tries come down to the wrong form (oxide passes through fast), too little real magnesium (many labels print the compound weight), or stopping after a week. The trials used 250 to 500mg of elemental magnesium for 4 to 8 weeks. Calme gives 300mg, glycinate led, and you get 90 days to give it a fair test. It does not work for everyone. If it does not work for you, you get your money back.
How much magnesium is actually in it?
300mg of elemental magnesium in 3 capsules. That is the magnesium itself, not the weight of the whole compound. It is about 80% of the daily reference intake of 375mg.
Will it upset my stomach?
Oxide and large amounts of citrate are the forms most likely to loosen stools. Calme has no oxide and leads with glycinate, which is gentler. Some people still notice a change at first. Start with 1 capsule, build up over a week, and split the dose between dinner and bedtime.
Can I take it with my medication?
Magnesium can stop some antibiotics and some bone medicines (bisphosphonates) from being absorbed properly if you take them at the same time. Keep Calme at least 2 hours apart from them and ask your pharmacist for the exact gap. If you have a kidney condition, do not take it unless your doctor says yes. If you take any prescription medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist first.
Will it knock me out or make me groggy?
No. It is not a sleeping pill. It is a mineral your body uses every day. Some people dream more vividly at first, which usually settles. If you feel too heavy or too wired, drop to 2 capsules.
Why 7 forms? Isn't glycinate all I need?
Glycinate has the best evidence, which is why it leads. The other forms let us reach 300mg without loading your gut with one salt. We will not tell you seven forms absorb seven times better. No study shows that.
Is it like melatonin?
No. Melatonin is a hormone that tells your body it is night time. Magnesium is a mineral your nervous system uses all day, every day. Many people who say melatonin did nothing for them are looking for something different, and that is what magnesium is.
When should I take it?
In the evening. Most people take 1 with dinner and 2 about an hour before bed. Same time every night works best.
Why does it cost more than the cheap ones online?
Compare the real magnesium, not the bottle. Some cheap complexes list oxide first and print a big compound number on the front. Calme prints 300mg elemental and has no oxide. Buy 1, get 1 free brings the price per bottle down by more than a third.
Is it suitable while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Ask your doctor first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Not for children.
What if it does not work for me?
You have 90 days to try it. If you are not happy, you get your money back, even if the bottle is empty.
